Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until well combined.
In a small bowl mash the bananas and add into the butter and sugar mixture. Add the eggs and vanilla as well and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Then add into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the majority of the chocolate chips (leave a few for sprinkling on top).
Pour the batter into the loaf pan, and sprinkle some chocolate chips on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center of the loaf comes out clean when a toothpick is inserted. Allow the bread to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
