Line a cupcake or muffin pan with 12 pink paper baking cups. Preheat the oven to 350F.
Prepare the cake mix according to directions on the package. Pour the batter into the cupcake pan.
Bake cupcakes for 20 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Put frosting in a mixing bowl and add a little bit of pink food coloring. Mix until combined, then add more food coloring until desired color is reached.
Put the pink frosting in a piping bag and frost the cupcakes. Add the sprinkles on top of the cupcakes.
