Homemade Salmon Poke Bowl Recipe
This homemade salmon poke bowl is so delicious! There is nothing better than a bowl of flavorful salmon, fresh avocado, savory rice and refreshing cucumber! Poke bowls are so much better homemade!
This homemade poke bowl is so easy to make! You just need a few fresh ingredients! To start simply mix mayo and sriracha for the sauce, and mix it in with the rice. Then simply cut and prepare the ingredients and add them in the quantities you like. Seriously this is the easiest dinner to make!
If you are looking for a super quick dinner that the whole family will love, this poke bowl is literally PERFECT! Aside from cooking the rice, all you have to do is chop up and prepare a few ingredients. Despite being relatively simple, these poke bowls taste straight from a Japanese restaurant. The flavors perfectly compliment each other! The cucumber offers a refreshing crunch, the salmon offers flavor and saltiness, and the avocado offers a fresh and rich flavor. The seaweed also adds a delicious crunch!
You can also sub the smoked salmon for fresh sushi grade salmon. I prefer using smoked salmon, just because you can have it in your refrigerator for longer, and its generally easier. If you prefer less salty and more authentic-tasting salmon, then the fresh sushi-grade is the way to go. Most grocery stores have sushi grade salmon, just make sure that it says its sushi grade. You can get sick from regular salmon!
If you prefer your poke bowls spicier, you can double the amount of sriracha used. You can also add fresh red pepper flakes over the avocado. If you want to add other spices, you can add garlic powder. I also like adding sushi vinegar into the rice for the sweet sushi-like taste. Don’t be afraid to season the poke bowl!
This poke bowl is the perfect quick dinner and absolutely so DELICIOUS! It is refreshing, flavorful, and tastes right out of a fancy Japanese restaurant!
